Emily Baker

Emily for WebKids’ Choir Director – grew up in Azle, TX. She received her B.M. in Music Education from the University of Texas at Arlington. Upon graduating, she taught elementary music at Zaharis Elementary in Mesa, AZ, while her husband, Eric pursued a Master’s Degree in Trumpet Performance from Arizona State University.  In her second year of teaching, Ms. Baker was asked to assist a veteran teacher in revising the elementary music curriculum for Mesa Public Schools, the largest school district in the state of Arizona. Ms. Baker and her husband Eric came to the Permian Basin in July 2006, where Ms. Baker served as the assistant choir director at Bonham Junior High for one year and as the General Music teacher at Hays Magnet Academy for two years. In 2009, Mrs. Baker resigned her full time teaching position to stay at home with her baby girl, Piper. She sings regularly with the Jazz Cafe and continues to teach piano and voice lessons from her home as well as Early Childhood  Music classes through Odessa College.
